Strategy Announces Purchase of 22,305 BTC for $2.13 Billion

Strategy has announced the purchase of 22,305 Bitcoin (BTC) for $2.13 billion at $95,284 per Bitcoin. Over the past several months, Michael Saylor’s company has regularly added to its Bitcoin holdings. In early January 2026, Strategy purchased 13,627 BTC worth about $1.25 billion, at an average price of roughly $91,519 per Bitcoin. The company previously acquired 1,286 BTC for approximately $116 million.

Strategy’s Bitcoin Holding

At the moment, Strategy has accumulated 709,715 BTC for $53.92 billion at $75,979 per Bitcoin. The latest addition to the company’s Bitcoin reserve was funded through the sale of common stock offerings and other financial equities of Strategy’s capital.

As Strategy continues to amass Bitcoin, investors and market watchers will be keeping an eye on how the industry responds to this latest acquisition news. Metaplanet, a Tokyo-listed company, has become the fourth-largest corporate holder of Bitcoin with 35,102 BTC.
