Tether Launches USA₮: A Federally Regulated Stablecoin

Tether, the world's largest digital asset company, has launched USA₮, a federally regulated stablecoin that is backed by the U.S. dollar. The stablecoin has been designed specifically to operate within the United States’ new federal stablecoin framework established under the GENIUS Act.

According to Tether, the launch marks a milestone for the company and a new trajectory for the U.S. dollar in the digital era. The stablecoin aims to set a new benchmark for transparency with federal-grade regulatory expectations.

The launch of USA₮ reinforces the U.S. dollar's strength at a time when dollar-backed digital tokens are already playing a central role in global commerce.

Anchorage Digital Bank Issues USA₮

The token is issued by Anchorage Digital Bank and marks a new era for how stablecoins will operate within the U.S.-regulated financial system.

The launch highlights Tether's robust role in the digital economy. The company is now the 17th-largest holder of U.S. Treasuries worldwide. Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, said, “USA₮ offers institutions an additional option: a dollar-backed token made in America.”

USA₮ will be available on leading cryptocurrency platforms, including Bybit, OKX, Kraken, Crypto.com, and MoonPay.
