Strategy Acquires Additional 1,142 Bitcoin for $90 Million

Strategy Inc., formerly known as MicroStrategy, has continued its aggressive Bitcoin (BTC) accumulation strategy with the purchase of an additional 1,142 Bitcoin. The world’s leading Bitcoin treasury company purchased the latest round of Bitcoin for $90 million. The acquisition was made at an average price of $78,815 per BTC.

According to StreetInsider and Investing.com, this purchase was funded by selling 616,715 shares of its Class A common stock through an at-the-market offering program between February 2 and February 8, 2026

Strategy’s Massive Bitcoin Treasury Expands

As of February 8, Michael Saylor’s Strategy now holds a total of 714,644 Bitcoin, acquired at a cumulative cost of about $54.35 billion. The firm’s average purchase price across all holdings stands at $76,056 per Bitcoin, making it the world’s largest publicly traded corporate holder of the cryptocurrency.

Led by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, Strategy has consistently relied on equity offerings and other financial methods to expand its Bitcoin reserves. This way, it maintains confidence in Bitcoin as a long-term store of value despite ongoing market volatility. The company remains on track with its three-year plan to raise $42 billion to further improve its position as a global Bitcoin treasury leader.
